The project will include portraits and interviews of 30 Black American creatives and entrepreneurs throughout Japan on topics including their experiences living abroad in Japan, how they built relationships within their Japanese communities, and advice for youth. A separate workshop will be offered in partnership with the Minneapolis College of Art + Design for teens and young adults to develop mentorships and a strategy to break into the comic book publishing business.
